Prince Reveals Song for Vikings-Saints Game
"Purple and Gold" was written for Sunday's game
Prince came released a new song about the Minnesota Vikings.
Prince said he hadn’t seen the Vikings play in a very long time, until he went to the game against the Dallas Cowboys last week.
“I saw the future,” said Prince.
He said he went home that night, wrote the song, "Purple and Gold," and said it came easy and fast.
The vikings love it and plan to put it on their site.
The new song by prince is for the big game against the Saints.

It's awful.
It sounds like the national anthem of a small baltic country
A better title would have been "Cultural Learnings of American Football for Make Benefit Glorious Nation of Minneapolis"

Do agree that it sounds like a high school anthem song... It's not the mans best work but hey show some support I think it is great he is proud of where he is from! AND YES LOVE THE VIKINGS! PURPLE & GOLD, he was obviously being opened minded, and thinking about everybody's taste, he knows it original and simple! Prince is a musical genius! proud Prince moved home to the MPLS!. MPLS REPRESENT! We are PRINCE FAMS, RIGHT!? it sounds to me that everybody just seems to be disappointed all the time.. have some faith... FAMS Right? since 1978, that is 32 years people.. Legendary!

most football club songs/anthems/chants are cheesy but the fans still sing them proudly, what an honour it must be for prince to have his tune playing for his fave football club. its not supposed to be a masterpiece....
my fave football/soccer team is chelsea and how cheesy is their song?
